As I write this, I’m preparing the final three stories for the Dream Operations Vol. 2 book. I’m trying to work fast, but I keep encountering ideas that I should add, or sections of writing that I can still improve on.
Also, I have the cover art to worry about.
Still, it’s good to see a light at the end of the tunnel.
Of these three final episodic stories, the final one will likely be the most work. That’s because I still have to write most of it from scratch whereas the other two are already drafted.
As the tales of Dream Operations unfold, there is a lot going on in Machina and at the Artaro Corporation. I’m learning to write from multiple perspectives and to ask questions about which characters know what, and how their perspectives might differ, etc.
If any readers get the chance to check the most recent short story, Nickelpoint Mountain, I hope they’ll appreciate the narrative decision to follow Dr. Webweaver on this journey. I also hope it moves the big narratives forward by reintroducing characters like Stanley Artaro and Dr. Chaz Scathe into the plot more directly than in most of the previous stories.
Anyway, I just wanted to provide an update!
